Irish Nurses Cardiovascular Association Conference 2025
It is that time of year again, and I am delighted to welcome you to our second Irish Nurses Cardiovascular Association (INCA) Conference of the year, this time in collaboration with the Irish Cardiac Society, which will take place in Killarney (Great Southern Hotel), Thursday October 16.
This will be my last Conference, as President of INCA and October’s event is always one of the highlights of the calendar year as a cardiovascular nurse, including an opening address from the incoming ICS President Prof Brendan McAdam.
Attendees can look forward to a varied and, I’m sure you will agree, an inspiring programme, including:
- AI and point of care ultrasound in cardiac emergencies.
- Impact of the digital era on legal, ethical, and professional responsibilities.
- Abnormal LA strain.
- PAIR HF Project.
- Feedback from our two bursary winners.
- Patient representative highlighting the impact of living with a cardiac condition.
- Publication – words of wisdom.
- Familial hypercholesterolaemia – progress and challenges in primary care.
- Address from the Chairman of the Global Cardiovascular Collaborative.
As always, this event provides great opportunities for professional networking with colleagues and peers, nationwide from all cardiology clinical specialities and practice settings.
I strongly encourage everyone to become a member of INCA (it’s free!) to avail of the above exciting programme and to be in with a chance to apply for two winning educational bursaries worth €750 and to win the best poster submission prize of €250.
All accepted applicants must attend the INCA Conference in Killarney to receive their award.
Closing date for the educational bursary and poster submission is Friday 26 September 2025.
