Cystic Fibrosis Ireland & the Cystic Fibrosis Registry of Ireland

Cystic Fibrosis Ireland (CFI) is a national charity dedicated to increasing knowledge and awareness of Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a rare, progressive, genetic condition.  CFI provide advice, grants, support and services to people living with CF and their families, while also investing in research, specialist CF clinical teams and services to improve care for those living with CF and ultimately find a cure.

The Cystic Fibrosis Registry of Ireland (CFRI) is an independent charitable organisation and Company Limited by Guarantee. CFRI is a centralised registry collecting data across 13 CF centres from consenting patients. As of 2023, the registry collects data from 92.3% of people with CF in Ireland. Data is collected from medical records on a number of clinical and care-related outcomes. Anonymised data is used to inform research, policy, clinical practice and care delivery.
