Meet the New IAANMP Committee Officers
We are pleased to introduce five newly appointed IAANMP committee officers in 2026, as they join the existing committee officers in advancing the work of the Association. Each new officer brings a wealth of clinical expertise, and a shared commitment to advancing ANP and AMP practice. We look forward to their contribution as we work together to enhance patient care, support innovation, and strengthen the role of advanced practitioners nationwide.





Louise Moore (Treasurer) RGN, RNP, RANP, Grad Dip (Clinical Practice), MSc (Research), FFNMRCSI, Adjunct Lecturer/Assistant Professor UCD School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems
Louise Moore is an ANP with over 30 years of experience in rheumatology and is an Adjunct Lecturer/Assistant Professor at the University College Dublin (UCD) School of Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Systems. She has combined extensive clinical practice with a strong focus on education, research, and service development.
Her MSc (Research) highlighted the importance of research in advancing nursing practice, leading to the development of a rheumatology obstetric service that has directly improved patient care and has been implemented at two additional clinical sites in Ireland.
Louise has actively participated in national and international multidisciplinary special interest groups, broadening her expertise, fostering professional collaboration, and contributing to discussions that shape clinical practice and healthcare policy. She continues to integrate evidence-based research into clinical decision-making to enhance patient outcomes.
Sarah Daly (Secretary-Membership) Respiratory ANP
Sarah Daly is a RANP with specialist expertise in respiratory care and sleep-related breathing disorders. She completed her undergraduate nursing degree at the University of Galway, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Respiratory Care and a Master’s in Nursing at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dublin.
She also holds qualifications in Nurse Medicinal Prescribing (RCSI, Dublin), Radiological Referral (University College Cork), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Practice Nursing (University of Galway).
Sarah began her nursing career at Portiuncula University Hospital on a medical and surgical ward, including frontline work during the Covid-19 pandemic, which deepened her interest in respiratory health. In 2022, she was appointed Respiratory Candidate ANP at Roscommon University Hospital and has been registered as an ANP since 2024.
She established a sleep diagnostic service and has completed specialist training in sleep medicine and cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia, supported by the Bernie Carpenter Perpetual Bursary from the IAANMP.
Alongside her clinical role, Sarah has worked as a casual lecturer at the University of Limerick since 2021 and will act as module leader for the therapeutic interventions module on the Respiratory Master’s Programme in 2026. Her professional interests include research, education, respiratory health, and sleep medicine, with a strong commitment to evidence-informed practice, service development, and multidisciplinary collaboration that continues to enhance patient care and innovation in her field.
Claire Kearney (Public Relations Officer) ANP, MSc, RNP, RM, RN ANP Obesity, St Columcille’s Hospital, Loughlinstown, Dublin
Claire Kearney qualified as a nurse in Beaumont Hospital in 2001 and subsequently trained as a midwife in the Rotunda Hospital, gaining experience across multiple clinical areas. She advanced to the role of Clinical Midwife Manager in Diabetes, a position she held until 2019.
She then joined the Centre for Obesity Management in Loughlinstown as a clinical nurse specialist, and has been working as an ANP in Obesity since July 2025. Claire was involved in the development of the Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Obesity in Adults in Ireland, reflecting her commitment to evidence-based practice and improving standards of care.
Luke Sheehan (Committee Officer) RANP, MSc (Advance Practice) Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Urgent and Emergency Care | Frailty Medicine
Luke Sheehan is a RANP with extensive clinical experience across urgent care, emergency medicine and frailty services in both the UK and Ireland. His background spans high acuity emergency departments, urgent community response services, and front door frailty models, giving him broad exposure to complex, time critical decision making, and integrated care of older adults.
He completed his MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice at St George’s, University of London/Kingston University and subsequently transitioned from UK ACP registration to RANP registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
He currently practises in urgent and emergency care, delivering autonomous advanced assessment, diagnostics, and treatment across a wide range of presentations, while maintaining a specialist clinical interest in frailty, comprehensive geriatric assessment, and admission avoidance.
Luke’s clinical skillset includes advanced clinical assessment, x-ray interpretation, minor injuries and illness management, suturing, plastering, and multidisciplinary frailty assessment. He is interested in linking hospital and community services and developing models to improve patient flow, safety, and outcomes for older adults.
Alongside practice, Luke is actively involved in service development, mentorship of trainee ACPs and junior nurses, and professional education within urgent and community facing services. He is currently undertaking a postgraduate study in Clinical Geriatrics to deepen his specialist academic and clinical expertise in geriatric medicine.
Luke’s professional interests include frailty at the front door, urgent and unscheduled care, hospital to community integration, admission avoidance, and advancing advanced practice roles within acute and community care systems.
Roisin Mullan (Committee Officer) ANP in Paediatric Airway, Ear, Nose and Throat
Roisin qualified as an ANP in Paediatric Airway, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) in 2024. She works at Children’s Health Ireland. Since 2008, Roisin has worked as a paediatric nurse, providing expert care to neonates and infants requiring both medical and surgical interventions.
With experience as Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Airway since 2016, and additional experience in long-term ventilation nursing, she now works at an advanced level in the management of children with complex airway disorders.
Her role involves the ongoing care and follow-up of children with laryngomalacia, nasopharyngeal airway, tracheostomy, and airway reconstruction. Roisin plays a leading role in patient, family, and professional education in paediatric airway management, ensuring that everyone involved is well informed and supported.
Finally, we would like to thank Anne McGuire, Cardiothoracics ANP and Education Secretary on the IAANMP committee, for her time and valued contribution to the role. Although Anne had to step down due to unforeseen circumstances, her involvement has been greatly appreciated and we wish her every success.
