The IAANMP is committed to supporting its members with the most up-to-date resources, news, and professional development opportunities. We have updated the IAANMP website to enhance functionality, accessibility, and resource availability for members and visitors.
Key website updates include:
1. Expanded ‘Members’ Section: New tabs have been introduced to provide members with important resources and updates:
- IAANMP supplement: Members can now access digital copies of Nursing in Practice Ireland and the IAANMP supplements on the website, as well as receiving the print version, ensuring they stay informed on the latest developments in advanced practice.
- MedCafe webinars: A new dedicated section keeps members informed about upcoming IAANMP webinars. For members unable to attend live sessions, links to recorded webinars are available for convenient, on-demand access.
- Siilo secure communication platform: IAANMP has adopted Siilo, a secure messaging platform designed for professional communication. The website hosts Siilo documentation, including information on data protection, terms of use, and the Siilo processor agreement.
- IAANMP GDPR protocol and privacy policy: This new section outlines IAANMP’s privacy policy
and GDPR compliance measures, ensuring best practices in data protection and privacy.
2. Recruitment and career opportunities: A recruitment/vacancies section has been introduced under the ‘News’ category. This new feature encourages organisations to advertise ANP/AMP and candidate roles, fostering career development.
3. Public awareness and education: To promote awareness of advanced practice, a ‘What is an ANP/AMP?’ section has been added. This resource educates the public and other healthcare professionals on the important role of ANPs and AMPs in healthcare.
4. IAANMP Conference 2024 photo gallery: In the ‘Conference’ section, members can now revisit and share highlights from the IAANMP Conference 2024 through the newly added photo gallery, preserving key moments and insights from the event.
5. Updated professional resources: To ensure members have access to the latest guidelines, published papers and documents, recent website updates include:
- The latest NMBI Code of Practice and NMBI State of the Register.
- An expanded resource repository, featuring academic literature, clinical guidelines, and a dedicated poster section for professional learning. Two new ‘Sexual Health’ posters produced by award-winning RANP Sarah Hickey, MTU Cork Student Health Centre, have recently been added.
- Newly published papers from leading ANP/AMP experts have been added to the ‘Repository’ resource section on the website. Among the latest additions is a paper by Dr Wayne Thompson, Dr Sean Teeling, and Prof Martin McNamara, which explores the role of ED ANPs in promoting person-centred care in emergency departments. Also featured is a recent study by Doody et al (2025), entitled Identifying the landscape and contribution of ANPs in supporting healthcare provision in Ireland in the 21st Century: An integrative review. Also featured are two newly published articles: The effect of an ANP-led menopause clinic on quality of life and menopausal symptoms by RANP Catriona Keye, published in SAGE Journal – Women’s Health, April 2, 2025; and Clinical decision-making in nursing advanced practice: A case study from general practice, published in Practice Nursing (UK).
