Testing times for all

Last month, the Covid-19 testing process had generated a backlog of thousands, while a change to the case definition on 24 March that narrowed the criteria for referral, was met with confusion and frustration by many GPs. 
At a briefing on 24 March, Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan acknowledged that the previous criteria had “cast our net too widely in good faith”.
