Pharmacists honoured at Helix Health Pharmacist Awards

Mr Vin Cronin set up his community pharmacy with his wife in Balbriggan in 1974 and the couple served the bustling town for more than 30 years. During that time, Mr Cronin pioneered many practice changes, all while working tirelessly to promote life-long learning in the sector and support students and pharmacists in their education.

Mr Cronin was one of nine pharmacists honoured at the annual event, which aims to celebrate pharmacy and raise awareness of outstanding pharmacy work across the country.

Helix Health Pharmacist Awards Committee Chair Mr Fintan Moore commented that, crucially, the Awards are  one of the key fundraisers for the Pharmacy Benevolent Fund, which supports pharmacists who are in need of assistance.

The Awards were attended by more than 350 people and hosted by broadcaster Mr Pat Kenny on 21 November.
