NurseCPD.ie has been developed by the publishers of the Medical Independent and will provide free educational content to nurses, allowing them to update their knowledge on common conditions and keep abreast of the latest developments in their particular specialty and areas of interest.
The new website, which went live on 4 March, consists of learning modules in the form of tutorials, case studies, and expert Q&As. These modules been developed by some of Ireland’s leading healthcare experts — nurses, doctors and pharmacists.
Commenting on the launch of the new website, publisher Ms Maura Henderson said: “NurseCPD is the third CPD site set up by us in the past three years and we hope it proves as popular with nurses as Med iLearning and PharmacistCPD does with doctors and pharmacists, respectively. NurseCPD.ie is a free website designed to make it easy for nurses to keep on top of their CPD. The website went live on 4 March and we will be adding new modules bi-monthly.
“The other benefit of registering with NurseCPD is that the same login details give nurses access to all our titles online — including the Medical Independent.”
The launch of the website comes at a time when nurses across the country are increasingly aware of the importance of maintaining their professional development.
Publisher Graham Cooke said that the launch will greatly help these nurses to improve their knowledge. “Once registered with the site, nurses can boost their learning by completing educational modules. On completion of each module, module details and any learning notes will automatically be logged in the user’s personal online CPD log.”
The new website is available free of charge to registered nurses. To register log on to www.nursecpd.ie
