Are GPs provided with adequate access to mental health services? asks survey

With that objective in mind, the mental health organisation GROW is assessing how much impact has the Government’s Vision for Change policy document had in relation to mental health services since its introduction in 2006.

To accurately gauge the impact of Vision for Change, GROW has opened an online survey, with a series of nine questions. An example being “Do you feel GPs are provided with adequate access to mental health services in your community?

Grow is encouraging all members of the public to take part in the survey in order to garner an accurate picture of community mental health services across the country.

The survey went live on Sunday 5 April and will close on Wednesday 30 April.

It can be accessed through the GROW website at www.grow.ie and through the GROW Facebook page.

GROW is Ireland’s largest community based mental health support network, operating more than 130 groups around the country and hosting more than 6,500 meetings every year.
